I drove to work
In the misty morning
I squinted at the sun
But it wasn’t there
His bright circle forever obscured
By endless thickening clouds
I revelled beneath the overcast
Letting the wind brushed my fingers
I longed for the searing heat
Triggering perspiration down my neck
I rubbed the dry skin of my neck
Breathing silent prayers
For the sun to
As I drove into the foggy roads ahead.
