A goddess

Our grandmothers told us

The moon is beauty in damnation

But failed to teach us

That beauty is also damnation

The moon is not for me

My wish is not to live in scars

My wish is not to live in solitude

Or guiding others

I prayed

as my fingers fumbles with my shoelaces.
