Silencio

I stood frozen by your words

I look around for comfort

Dumb furniture witnessed

My heart broke and conviction grows

I realised that I’m homeless

Living underneath your roof

Never been accepted

Shall never be acknowledged

You punctuated my wrongs

Like a judge in court

I was sentenced

To a lifetime of denial

To this day I struggled

Your judgment is a noose

My decaying will is a rotting stool

While your truths on my character

Eating on its legs like termites

I pray to God for strength

And hope it’ll be a slow fight.
